I have enjoyed every moment and learnt so much. The experience has been enriching and fulfilling beyond measure. One of the highlights has been the opportunity to immerse myself in various classrooms, each presenting unique dynamics, rewards and challenges. Working in different classes has not only broadened my understanding of pedagogy but has also honed my adaptability and versatility as an educator. My mentor has been brilliant and has supported me every step of the way. The staff have been so welcoming and taken me in with open arms. My placement with Great Hollands Primary School has been amazing, and I am so grateful for the invaluable learning experience.

Reflecting on my time at Maiden Erlegh School, it has had a profound impact on shaping my journey as an educator. Initially, the choice was driven by convenience, but it evolved into a deeply enriching experience, thanks to the genuine support and guidance I received from the staff. The school provided a nurturing environment where I could thrive both professionally and personally.
Within my school, I discovered a community dedicated to fostering growth and excellence. The mentorship and encouragement I received from faculty and staff were instrumental in helping me navigate the complexities of teaching. Each day had different challenges, but the advice and feedback from the teachers were unwavering. The invaluable lessons learnt, and the bonds formed during my time at the school will continue to shape my approach to education. It will serve as a constant reminder of the importance of a supportive learning environment and the importance it can have for a student’s learning journey.

I chose Maiden Erlegh School and Maiden Erlegh Institute for my second placement school as I admired their ambition to be inclusive and aim high for all pupils and this is a mission statement that I strongly believe in.
The school provides excellent opportunities for trainee teachers, including offering professional studies sessions and mentorship and advice from mentors and experienced teachers. The school has given me an opportunity to excel and teach a range of lessons, as well as a plethora of extracurricular activities.
